QueryFuser (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the QueryFuser service, including the queryfuser.com website, the query merging proxy, and the associated dashboard (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture. We use this information to authenticate you and provide the Service.

2.2 Query Metadata

When queries pass through the QueryFuser proxy we log metadata including: SQL query text (translated to BigQuery SQL), bytes scanned, execution duration, merge group identifiers, cache-hit status, and timestamps. This data is used to provide the query logs dashboard, compute savings statistics, and improve the merging engine.

We do not log or store your query result data. Result rows pass through the proxy in-memory and are never written to disk or any external store.

2.3 BigQuery Credentials

You provide a Google Cloud service account key to allow QueryFuser to execute queries on your behalf. This key is stored encrypted at rest and is only used to authenticate with the BigQuery API.

2.4 Usage & Analytics Data

We may collect standard web analytics data such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to understand usage patterns and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Execute BigQuery queries on your behalf via the proxy
• Display query logs, merge statistics, and savings data in the dashboard
• Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the Service
• Communicate with you about the Service, including support and updates
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We use infrastructure providers (Google Cloud Platform) to host and operate the Service. These providers may process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

5. Data Retention

Query metadata is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@queryfuser.com.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
