Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the QueryFuser service, including the queryfuser.com website, the query merging proxy, and the associated dashboard (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QueryFuser is a PostgreSQL-compatible proxy that sits between your BI tools and Google BigQuery. It intercepts queries, translates them to BigQuery SQL, and merges concurrent queries targeting the same tables into a single scan to reduce bytes scanned and lower costs. The Service includes the proxy software, a web-based dashboard for monitoring query logs and savings, and related documentation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Account Registration

To use the Service you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@queryfuser.com.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except as permitted by law
• Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent

6. BigQuery Credentials & Your Data

You provide Google Cloud service account credentials to enable QueryFuser to execute queries on your behalf. You are solely responsible for the permissions granted to the service account and for ensuring your use of BigQuery complies with Google Cloud’s terms of service.

QueryFuser processes your query data in-memory to perform merging. We log query metadata (SQL text, bytes scanned, timestamps) but do not store query result data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Service Availability & Beta

The Service is currently offered in beta and is provided “as available.” We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

During the beta period, the Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future with advance notice.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by QueryFuser and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.

You retain all rights to your data, including your queries and BigQuery datasets. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to process your query data solely to provide and improve the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QueryFuser and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that query merging will always produce correct results.

QueryFuser includes automatic fallback: if a merged query fails, the original individual queries are re-executed directly. However, we do not guarantee that fallback will always succeed or produce identical results.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QueryFuser from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may stop using the Service and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Disclaimer, and Indemnification) shall survive.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which QueryFuser operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
